Internet Domain Names do not need to end with the traditional
.com, .org, .net or country code (.de, .br, .in) any longer.
Now they can be any name you want. (If this name is not already taken by someone else)
Corporate TLDs (cTLDs)
TLDs can be synonymous with the name of your company,
organization or brand: like "
www.kia", instead of
www.kia.com. Your
web site(s) will be easy to find, as internet users do not have to
think about what Top Level Domain belongs to your Domain Name.
It is plain and simple: your company or organization name
equals the TLD.
These new, so-called corporate Top Level Domains (cTLDs)
are available for established businesses and organizations,
facilitating a clear and consistent web presence all around
the world. UN1D is an accredited and official TLD Registrar for the registration of cTLDs.
Registrations are approved by an independent Council, the INAIC Council, which reviews applications in accordance with
objective, transparent and non-discriminatory principles.

Once you have successfully registered your cTLD, there are
several interesting options for you
to consider.
Public TLDs (pTLDs)
Public TLDs are all other TLDs that are not similar to or the same as company names, brand names or trade names of corporations.
Public TLDs are available for registration to everyone and the registration is based on First Come, First Served (FCFS). Most Public TLDs have on-line registries available that allow anyone to register domain names.
